Help Wanted

The Simcoe County Branch is looking for a few people to assist with some ongoing projects.

Cemetery Projects
We currently need volunteers to type up transcriptions as well as somebody to work on indexing. This is something you can do at home, at your own pace. For further information, please contact John Wright, Cemeteries Project Coordinator.

Once the snow is gone, we will be visiting a number of cemeteries throughout the county and will need people to check what has been typed or to work on further transcription projects. We will be posting further information about schedules in the Spring.

Vice Chair
The Simcoe County Branch executive meets once a month on the same day as the branch meetings. We need somebody who could attend to assist our Chair, Linda Mitchell, with her many duties and to take command if she’s away. This is excellent opportunity to meet a lot of genealogists and family historians.

Program Committee
We are in need of two people to help plan upcoming events as well as find interesting speakers for our meetings. No previous experience is necessary. The branch executive has lots of knowledgeable people who are more than willing to help you.

Welcome Table
Bonnie Readman will be moving to fill a different executive position later this year and so we will need somebody to replace her. Talk to Bonnie at the next meeting to get an idea of what she does. If you like meeting people, this is the place to be.

If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact our Branch Chair, Linda Mitchell.
