BRANCH MEETINGS - Guest speakers at these monthly gatherings include experienced researchers, teachers, computer buffs and others who are well versed in genealogy. You will soon make friends with our members who are always ready to answer your questions and provide any assistance you need to get started on your quest. Regular branch meetings are:

  • The first Saturday of each month, held between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • At the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 79 Ferris Lane, Barrie (see location map).
  • All Branch Meetings are open to the general public, so you do not have to be a member to join the fun.Any changes in time or place are noted in the Branch newsletter SCAN, as well as here on the web and in the community newspapers.

BRANCH WORKSHOPS - From time to time, we will host workshops of a more hands-on nature than our monthly meetings. These workshops are presented to create situations for beginner genealogists and family researchers to learn from more experienced members. Sometimes they provide opportunities to access research material not available in the local area. Details of available workshops will be posted below.
