Ontario's cemeteries provide a unique repository of our cultural heritage. Inactive cemeteries are at risk of closure in the face of ongoing development pressures and must be protected to ensure the historical record for future generations.

Simcoe County Branch supports the passage of Bill 129, an Act to Protect Ontario's Inactive Cemeteries, 2009. We have been busy writing letters and emails to local MPPs and circulating copies of a petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario requesting passage of the Bill.

We need your help in this worthy cause. Please write a letter to your local MPP requesting they support Bill 149 and/or circulate copies of the petition.
